La Piqure 3 + Cannonball Carving Station + Plaguebringer Ward combo provides amazing dps, on par with demi-cannons, but effective at far longer distances.
In PvP, the better your aim is at long distances, the better you'll do with this build. Poison damage saps stamina, making this build work well against tanks and prevents other ships from closing the distance.
In PvE, no other weapon will match the damage output of this loadout on Brigantine despite its flood damage bonus. Range advantage also allows you to stay out of danger against most bosses.
Advantage of Long Gun Works 1 is marginal, it can be freely swapped for La Potence Schematics if you're against something where you'll be hitting weakpoints often. Leather Fashioning Station, Raised Quarterdeck and Compagnie Screens are also good defensive options.
