Enter the Brig, a support Hull that has been for the most part ignored as a support ship, let's try to change that.
To start, the heal. Healing bouys has been well known for being too fragile and too short duration, that is why they cannot compare to healing mortar. Luckily a new minor furniture has recently arrived that makes them more robust: Float Collars. So, we combo that with Machinist Station(repair) and Bouy Locker and we get durable AND effective healing bouys, as Artificer ship perk will make the healing from them stronger the more hits we land.
So to the dmg, we make use of the S4 season pass torpedo Dahaaka on the broadsides. Not only do they pierce, they also reduce enemy armor by 200 for 10 sec. Finishing off we have Scurlock Long9 front and rear. They are the only long guns with Piercing3 perk so far in the game, and you can also use them to shoot sails and trigger the Mast Breaker perk when there is no weak points to shoot at.
Armor is kinda optional, the heal bouy also self heal so armor protection is not so important, i went with Tanasha just to get rid of status debuffs faster.
So there you have it, a support ship using the Brig platform. One can argue that the Barque is a better passive support, this ship is for those who want a more active support ship. (and it holds it grounds quite good in solo pve too)
